中国的光伏产业在2004年之后经历了快速发展的过程，连续5年的年增长率超过100%。2007年至今，中国已经连续4年光伏电池产量居世界首位。2010年，中国光伏电池产量已超过全球总产量的50%。中国政府的一系列光伏激励政策促进了中国光伏市场的快速增长。
在光热方面，光热发电的规模发展对于实现我国15%的非化石能源的结构调整目标具有重要的战略意义。2007的《可再生能源中长期发展规划》中提到，“十一五”时期，在内蒙古、甘肃、新疆等地建设太阳能热发电示范项目。到2010年太阳能光热发电总容量50兆瓦；到2020年，全国太阳能光热发电总容量达到200兆瓦。

Panelists bios
Brendan Jin, Assistant to Chairman, Hina Group
Mr. Jin is a seasoned and sagacious professional with extensive experience and distinguished knowledge crossing both global corporate management and cross-border financial advisory field. As the Assistant to Chairman, Mr. Jin plays multiple roles at The Hina Group- as one of the senior investment bankers, Mr. Jin has been actively engaged in transactions across several technology related sectors including semiconductor, clean tech and renewable energy; as the Chairman’s designate, he also oversees Hina’s overall operation as well as its strategic collaborations with other parties around the world. Mr. Jin joined the investment banking industry with over 10 years of global business management experiences in the technology field. Prior to Hina, Mr. Jin was the operation head of Nokia’s Service BU in Greater China region and later on was selected to lead the Service BU’s integration activities during the process of Nokia and Siemens merger to form a new $1B integrated business operation in the region. Prior to Nokia, Mr. Jin spent over 3 years managing the sales and operation of ACE*COMM Corp., a US telecom software company based in Maryland, in Asia region. Mr. Jin holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University and a M.S. degree in Finance from University of Nevada in Reno.
 
Prof. Yin Zhiqiang, Tsinghua University
Prof. Yin Zhiqiang, in the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, P R China, has been engaged in research, development and production of all-glass evacuated collector tubes, tubular collectors and solar water heaters since1978. Prof. Yin invented "Graded Al-N/Al selective absorbing surface"; "Water-in-glass" close-coupled solar water heater; " E-W" direction of tubes of solar collectors, etc.. He has transferred the achievements to industry in the past three decades. Since 2005, he has developed selective absorbing surface for flat plate collectors, all-glass heat pipe collector tubes, continuously coating machine for collector tubes, all-glass heat pipe collector tubes and collectors, Novel all-glass evacuated collector tube for medium solar thermal, and high temperature trough tubes for solar thermal power, etc..
 
Mr. Zhao Xiaoyong, Vice GM, GS Solar
Mr. Zhao has 20+ sales management experience, worked at Kingle, Kelon, Corun, Wintonic. He joined GS Solar as Vice GM in 2009 .
