7 December in Beijing 7 pm-9 pm
Under the ‘Twelfth Five-Year’ Plan, China proposed unit GDP energy consumption decreased by 15% of the binding energy-saving targets. To achieve 15% of the GDP energy consumption is not an easy job. What will be the main barriers for China government and the highly energy consumption companies? As we know, China’s energy consumption is dominated by the industrial sector, which accounts for more than two-thirds of total energy, where as US only has one third of total energy from industry, others are from transportation, buildings, etc. The industrial sector’s large share of energy consumption and CO2 emissions in China points to the need for continued work on industrial energy conservation, via domestic efforts and international cooperation.
The market of energy efficiency is huge, even compare with all the renewable energy projects. How to finance energy efficiency projects? What’s the best model to operate this kind of project? What role does technology transfer plays in energy efficiency sector?
Let’s share our thoughts and experiences at next CTT, and we can discuss more about China’s industrial energy efficiency challenges and opportunities.
