Cleantech Thursdays Supports Innovation Norway Energy Efficiency Event
On Monday, November 2nd, Cleantech Thursdays supported Innovation Norway and the Norwegian Energy & Environment Consortium in holding their event “Energy Efficiency in Urban and Rural Buildings”.
Speakers and topics included:
Mr. Andreas J. Røsjø, Business Development Director, and Mr. Ola Lindh, Dep. Manager, AF Group, demonstrating how a Scandinavian hotel chain saved 28% on their energy bill with a two-year payback period through using energy efficient measures.
Mr. Torfinn Lysfjord, Reinertsen AS, showing how simple improvements in rural homes in Inner Mongolia provided 68% reductions to household energy costs.
Prof Vojislav Novakovic, Department of Energy and Process Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology introducing the Norwegian Centre for Environment-friendly Energy research on Zero Emission Buildings (ZEB), where cooperation with Tsinghua University and MIT is also planned.
Yu Jing, Director, Administration Centre of Urban-Rural Planning, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development sharing their insight into the Government’s plans for stimulating energy efficiency measures
The short seminar was topped off with networking amongst attendees and included a performance by Norwegian Jazz sensation The Core, recently described as “the most exciting and powerful live band in jazz”.
